This is the edited version of the doctorate thesis
of HH Dali Lama's primary translator, Thupten
Jinpa. It is an in depth study on Tsonkapa's
teaching.
I often recite texts aloud, particularly when I am tired and feel sleep around the corner. I recently thought
to record some of my readings so that I could listen to the dharma while driving and working around the
house. I posted them here as it occurred to me that some of you might like to do the same thing. If you
ringht click these links you should see an option to download them to your computer and from there your
Ipod, etc.
These files should stream without
downloading. If you see it trying to
download even though you have Windows
media Player installed you may have to
reinstall it anew. I myself have noticed this
problem and had to reinstall the media player
occasionally. I have yet to figure out what
interferes with it.
The Essential Dali Lama
This book covers both Buddhist
and non-Buddhist philosophical
systems and point by point
refutes them from the viewpoint
of the consequentialist school,
Prasankika, which shares its perch
reluctantly with other brightly
shinning schools of Buddhist
thought. It is an exercise of
intellect well worth embarking
on. No matter what your own
philosophical bent may be, you
are sure to benefit. This is the
companion volume to Mr.
Hopkins, Meditation on Emptiness.
This Book covers many key Buddhist
concepts in everyday language. It is a good
guide to life as well as meditation.
The title says it all. This short book can
carry you a long way.
This is an important read for anyone interested in
Madyamika philosophy, composed in less than a month by
the great master Mipham.
Ocean of Reasoning is a commentary of
Nagarjuna's Fundamenatl Wisdom of the Middle
Way, by Tsongkapa, one of the greatest Tibentan
masters.
